Selene was regarded as the personification of the moon in Greek mythology, and in fact her name translates as "moon" in Greek.  She is the daughter of Titans, and is known for driving her moon chariot across the heavens, drawn by her two snow-white horses.  She is commonly depicted with a crescent moon, and was described as as very beautiful, with long wings and a golden diadem.  Selene was called the "the eye of night" by Aeschylus, and was thought of as bright, beautiful, and benevolent.

This mid-length kimono dressing gown is a refined take on a classic.  In 100% Silk Double Georgette, the drape and feel of this piece are completely luxurious.  The sleeve has a gentle slope, and reaches the fingertips.  The length hits the knee, and it has a self-belt attached at the back of the waist for closure.   It is the kind of piece that you will want to wear over and over again, both for the flattering appearance and the luxurious feel of the fabric.
