The Long Bast sleep shirt is the perfect full-length nightwear piece, sewn with the finest Italian cotton and a touch of lace, for a light, crisp feeling. The bias cut night shirt features a deep, scoop neckline, and has French lace appliqué at the generous side slits. Custom 18K gold twice-plated buttons are found on the cuffs and neckline. The feminine shape makes it universally flattering, and the fine cotton makes sleeping heaven.
Bast was an Egyptian goddess of protection and the rising sun. Incredibly feminine and maternal, she was linked to music, dance, and perfume. Images of her likeness were kept in homes across Egypt as protection against thieves, and was often represented by the figure of a lioness.
